Leeds United are reportedly on the verge of completing their next signing this summer.
Leeds have already been busy in the transfer market as they prepare for the return of Premier League football at Elland Road. Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol and Sebastiaan Bornauw have all already signed for Leeds this summer and more could be on the way in the near future.
Daniel Farke‘s side will be busy looking ahead to August 18 when Leeds will play Everton in their first fixture of the new Premier League season. Before then, working is being completed behind the scenes to build a strong a squad as possible for the return of top-flight football for the Whites.
Fabrizio Romano has now reported on X (formerly known as Twitter) that Leeds are close to completing a deal to sign Jayden Lienou from Manchester City. It has been reported that Lienou – who is only 17-years-old – is set to link up with United’s Under-21 set-up once a move to Elland Road has been confirmed.
Leeds will reportedly pay a fee worth £500,000 to sign Lienou from Man City this summer.
Lienou plays at left-back for Man City’s academy set-up and starred for their Under-18 side last term, having signed from Everton back in March 2024.
It remains to be seen if and when a deal for Lienou will be finalised but, if the report is true, it seems that Leeds are planning for their long-term future – as well as the present day.
