Wolves Close to Securing Marc Pubill in €18m Deal from Almerí
Wolverhampton Wanderers are on the verge of signing UD Almería’s promising right-back Marc Pubill, with negotiations nearing completion. The 22-year-old Spaniard has emerged as a key target for Wolves, who are pushing to finalize the deal within the next 24 to 48 hours. The transfer fee is reportedly around €18 million, with an additional €4 million in variables, surpassing Almería’s initial €15 million valuation.
Pubill, a Spain U21 international, has attracted interest from AC Milan and Juventus, but Wolves have taken the lead in the race. The versatile defender, known for his athleticism, defensive maturity, and attacking contributions, made 40 appearances for Almería last season, scoring once and providing four assists. With Nélson Semedo’s contract expired, Pubill is seen as an ideal long-term replacement to bolster Vitor Pereira’s squad.
The deal’s progression follows Wolves’ recent acquisition of Jhon Arias, signaling an ambitious transfer window.
