Leeds United have reached an agreement with Lyon over goalkeeper Lucas Perri this week, with the player due to complete formalities over in the UK.
The Whites have been desperate to sign a new goalkeeper since the start of the summer, with the writing on the wall for Illan Meslier ever since being dropped for Karl Darlow during the promotion run-in.

Lyon goalkeeper Lucas Perri was the top target for the club, having seen his club relegated to Ligue 2 due to massive debts, only to be reinstated in the top flight upon appeal.
However, Lyon’s ongoing need to generate funds made Perri a viable option, to which journalist Fabrice Hawkins has now revealed there has been an agreement between the two clubs.

Lyon has been absent from pre-season recently due to a minor injury setback, but is now expected to fly out in order to complete a medical and other formalities.
With Fabrizio Romano relaying Leeds’ agreement for Perri, an update on RMC Sport shares that Leeds are paying €15million (£13million) to sign the 6ft5in stopper.
