The 23-year-old Cameroonian defender has emerged as a prime target for Wolves as they seek a replacement for Nelson Semedo, whose future remains uncertain. The agreement with Verona is nearly complete, with negotiations now focusing on finalizing terms with the player, according to journalist Matteo Moretto.
Tchatchoua, versatile enough to play across both flanks as a full-back or wing-back, has impressed in Serie A since joining Verona in 2023 from Charleroi. His athleticism, defensive discipline, and ability to contribute offensively—boasting two goals and five assists in 64 appearances—make him an ideal fit for Vitor Pereira’s squad. Wolves’ interest intensified after their pursuit of Sevilla’s Juanlu Sanchez fell through, with the Spaniard prioritizing a move to Napoli.
