Igor Jesus was praised by Michail Antonio after the game, and his two goals had looked like giving Forest a big three points in the group stage at one point.
Forest have another ace in their pack at the moment, though, and Ally McCoist has been discussing him during a recent interview.

Ally McCoist impressed with Elliot Anderson
McCoist has appeared on the TalkSPORT Daily Podcast, and he’s been asked to pick his most underrated player in the Premier League.
Joe Cole liked the performance of Anderson against Betis, and now it would appear that McCoist is a huge fan of his too.
He said on the podcast: “I’ll throw two at you. They maybe haven’t gone under the radar, certainly one of them, you know, plays for England. But at Forest, Wood and Elliot Anderson, I went to the game, I’ve seen Anderson a few times, obviously saw Forest a few times, Wood, who’s had an exceptional season last year.
“But I looked at Anderson in the, I think it was the Arsenal game, and I thought the two best players in the park, far enough, in my opinion, were the two lads that had done exceptionally well for England in the previous two games, and that was Madueke and Anderson. I was really, really impressed with Anderson, Jeff. Good, good player.
“Typical, hardworking, midfielder, but clever, intelligent, very good. And I’m not saying necessarily, you know, if he’s playing with England, clearly I would suggest he’s not going under the radar, but good player.”
Anderson will move to bigger and better things
Forest might not become regulars in European competition, but Anderson definitely will.
As Forest supporters, naturally, it’s hoped that he will remain at the City Ground for many years, but the harsh reality is that clubs all over the world will be eyeing him.
Anderson has started this season where he left the 2024/25 campaign and he’s proving to be Postecoglou’s most influential player.
It’s no surprise that McCoist has picked him out for credit and it remains to be seen what sort of fee Forest can command when the time does come for the Reds to cash in.
Hopefully, that is a year or two away just yet, however, and some silverware might be in his sights with Forest first.
