Morgan Rogers continues to attract transfer interest following another outstanding campaign for Aston Villa, but staying at Villa Park may still be the best move for both player and club.
Since joining Villa from Middlesbrough in 2024, Rogers has developed into one of Unai Emery’s most important players. The 23-year-old has become a regular in the England squad while also establishing himself as a key figure in Villa’s rise domestically and in Europe.
Blessed with technical quality, physical presence and creativity, Rogers has thrived under Emery’s system despite occasional dips in form throughout the season. The attacking midfielder made 37 Premier League appearances during the 2025-26 campaign, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists while creating 47 chances.
Only Ezri Konsa played more minutes for Villa across the league season, highlighting Rogers’ growing importance within Emery’s squad.
His performances have inevitably attracted attention from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs. Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing the England international, while Chelsea and Manchester United are also monitoring his situation ahead of the summer transfer window.
Villa are believed to value Rogers at a minimum of £80million, with the figure potentially rising higher if multiple clubs enter the race for his signature.
However, remaining at Villa Park could offer Rogers the ideal platform to continue developing. Villa are moving in an upward direction under Emery after securing Champions League qualification and winning the Europa League, and Rogers already plays a central role within the project.
A move elsewhere may not guarantee the same level of influence or importance within a squad competing for major honours. At Villa, the club is building around him, and his connection with supporters continues to grow.
If Villa can match their ambitions with strong recruitment and continued progress, Rogers has every opportunity to become one of the club’s modern icons in the years ahead.
