Aston Villa’s remarkable rise under Unai Emery continues to be reflected off the pitch, with the club celebrating record-breaking season ticket renewal figures ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
More than 9,000 supporters renewed their season tickets on the opening day of sales, surpassing the previous club record set two years ago. The impressive response comes just weeks after Villa lifted the Europa League trophy and secured another season of Champions League football.
The majority of supporters opted for the club’s 23-match package, which includes all four home Champions League league-phase fixtures alongside the 19 Premier League matches at Villa Park. The package has proven particularly popular as excitement continues to build around the club’s return to Europe’s elite competition.
Despite a fifth consecutive annual price increase, demand remains extremely high. Aston Villa confirmed last week that season ticket prices would rise by five per cent, taking the cost of a Premier League-only package to almost £1,000.
Supporters without season tickets will also face premium prices for Champions League fixtures, with individual match tickets expected to cost as much as £99.
Even so, Villa’s growing fanbase has shown little sign of slowing down, underlining the optimism surrounding the club following one of the most successful seasons in its modern history.
The 2026/27 campaign will also mark the beginning of major redevelopment work at Villa Park. The North Stand will remain closed throughout the season, reducing the stadium’s capacity to approximately 37,000.
Construction is expected to be completed in time for the 2027/28 season, when Villa Park’s capacity will exceed 50,000. The club has already confirmed that matchday ticket prices will be frozen for that campaign, offering supporters another positive sign as Aston Villa continue building for the future together.
